Volvo has new self-driving technology!

This week, Volvo has unveiled it’s XC90 Crossover SUV with the ability to make traveling a semi-automatic process thanks to its new level 4 self-driving technology. According to Senior Vice President of Volvo, Henrik Green, the XC90 can navigate itself while the driver sleeps. It’s able to this thanks to the Highway Assist technology. Green has stated that the tech will not only navigate through the streets using information from the cloud, but will also use lidar (radar and cameras built into the vehicle) to move. The tech could also handle emergency situations on its own. Volvo made a statement saying the newest tech should be available in 2021.
