“Back in my day we actually had to drive our cars”

Self driving cars are both real and present, and they are safer, faster, and less expensive than people. These machines never blink, get tired or angry, they can see the entire road in front, behind, and the sides, and they can move in perfect coordination with other cars on the road. There would be no need for stop lights or any signs as they will merely get signals from other vehicles to know where not to drive. They have reaction times so fast that they can escape a tragic accident before it is even perceived by a driver.

With this new found safety, they can travel faster, and you would never get lost (as long as Global Positioning improves and you didn’t input the wrong address). We will have a more efficient transportation system for a more efficient lifestyle, helping to improve the quality of life for all (except for bus, taxi, and uber drivers).
