Summer camp spots available at Boundless Connections

The Boundless Connections Olean Technology Center has space available in summer camp programs for children ages 8-12.

TECH Explorers, for children ages 8-10, is an introduction to programming, coding and logic-based problem solving taught through games including Minecraft and Scratch. Campers will also have access to 3D printers.

TECH Explorers will meet 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., August 8 and 9. Lunch and a healthy snack will be provided. Camp cost is $90 for both days. Scholarships are available.

TECH Recruits, for ages 11-12, introduces kids to robotic logic with access to Arduino, Raspberry Pi and building computers. Microsoft Office programs, advanced crafting and coding blocks in Minecraft and other game/code software, 3D printing, as well as logic-based problem solving with short- and long-term consequences in mind will also be covered.

While learning the skills needed to develop real world solutions, this group will begin developing their digital legacy and become stewards of respectful and careful digital interaction. Participants will learn to maintain comfortable, inclusive, environments where ideas and excellence can thrive.

TECH Recruits meets 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., August 12-14. Lunch and healthy snacks will be provided. Camp cost is $135 for all three days. Scholarships are available.
