The Boundless Connections Olean Technology Center is once again offering summer camp programs for children ages eight and up.
A new camp for 2019, Intro to Smart Machines, will be held July 22-26 in conjunction with Sol Epoxy. Participants ages 13 and older will learn about automated machines in this hands-on workshop using Arduino sensors at the tech center and actual manufacturing sensors and programmable logic controls at one of Sol Epoxy’s labs.
TECH Unleashed, one of the center’s flagship programs, will meet for two camp sessions, July 29 to August 2 and August 19-23. These camps are available to any youth ages 13-17 interested in programming, graphic art, 3D printing, web design and audio/video editing.
All camp days are 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and include lunch and healthy snacks.
Other camps offered include Tech Explorers for children ages 8-10, August 8 and 9, and Tech Recruits for children ages 11-12, August 12-14. In each of these programs children will explore using technology to solve problems.
